Apprentice Logistics Operative

To support all Transit Terminal (TT) operations while working collaboratively within a team environment. The role requires a proactive attitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to take direction to develop key skills and contribute effectively to daily tasks. Operate handheld scanning devices to accurately track freight Support Short Distance (SD) drivers with loading and unloading activities Follow all manual handling and health & safety procedures Maintain a clean and organised working environment (general housekeeping) Collaborate with warehouse and transport teams to ensure efficient operations Learn core terminal processes through practical, hands-on training Progress to Material Handling Equipment (MHE) training upon meeting key competencies Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and compliance briefings The Ideal candidate will have: A strong interest in developing a career in logistics or transport A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills Good communication and teamwork abilities A proactive and reliable approach to work Basic understanding of health & safety and manual handling practices Strong attention to detail and accuracy The ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Flexibility to adapt to different tasks and shift patterns Basic IT or scanning device knowledge is an advantage A commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment
