In this role, you’ll help us build and scale our world-class mobile applications, ensuring a seamless and high-performance experience for our global community of users. We focus on the end-to-end journey of our customers - from the moment they open the app to the point their meal arrives - ensuring every interaction is intuitive, fast, and reliable.</p><p>Here’s what your day-to-day might look like:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Drive technical execution</strong> by designing, building, and scaling Android applications that handle complex, real-time interactions at a global scale.</p></li><li><p><strong>Lead architectural improvements</strong> and code reviews, ensuring the maintainability, visibility, and operational health of our mobile codebase.</p></li><li><p><strong>Partner with cross-functional disciplines</strong> (PMs, Experience Designers) to plan projects, assist with technical choices, and influence the team roadmap.</p></li><li><p><strong>Own large-scale features</strong> from design to delivery, simplifying maintenance and promoting operational readiness across our production systems.</p></li><li><p><strong>Support the growth of others</strong> by mentoring colleagues, encouraging efficiency, and taking an active role in our engineering hiring process.</p></li></ul><h3>What You’ll Need to Thrive</h3><p>Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others:</p><ul><li><p><strong>Significant experience in building Android applications at scale</strong>, with a deep understanding of the Android SDK, AndroidX, and modern development tools like Android Studio.</p></li><li><p><strong>Proven ability to scale Android architecture</strong>, delivering high-performance mobile experiences in a fast-paced environment.</p></li><li><p><strong>Strong proficiency in Kotlin and/or Java</strong>, with a keen interest in continuing to push the boundaries of what's possible with Kotlin.</p></li><li><p><strong>Demonstrated ownership of technical delivery</strong> within cross-functional teams, guiding implementation choices and technical design.</p></li><li><p><strong>A pride in software craft</strong>, with a commitment to writing readable, well-designed, and thoroughly tested mobile code.</p></li></ul><h3>
